Let the Wedding Plans Begin.........

So, in amongst the Travelling Wares pop up markets, shoots, cookbook launches and the mountain of DIY renovating, I have just realised I better get on to planning our wedding! How exciting! Are you ready for some wedding preparation posts???

Our Engagement Party

Thought I would share a few images from our recent 1930's themed Engagement Party that we held in a little old croquet club by the sea at Woody Point at Redcliffe.

It was so wonderful to see everybody dressed up in full swing, very authentic, sipping out of champagne coupe glasses, playing croquet, conversing on hay bales and generally having a glorious afternoon in the winter's sun..... Thank you everybody for all your efforts.

If you would like to see more pop over to Studio Sixty's blog

Eat Cake

There is no denying it - this week is a big one; actually, who am I kidding - its not big, its huge!

Apart from having Travelling Wares at the Powerhouse Farmers Market this Saturday from 6am, we are also hosting our 1930's themed Engagement Party from 2pm til dusk at a gorgeous little old croquet club by the sea.

I'm off to have a chat to a local baker about creating something similar to the above shot! Usually I would indulge and make my own cake, though I think that might just inch me over the edge this week.

Talk soon!

Taking Stock

I'm not sure where the weekend went to - boy did it fly past! These gorgeous Apricot Stocks were picked up bright and early at the local farmers markets on Saturday and each time I look at them they fill me with pure joy! They are up the top of the wedding flower list!

The Gift of Art

Over the weekend Timothy O and I become the owners of this rather beautiful piece of art. The generous gift was from my parents to celebrate our engagement. I love giving and receiving artworks as gifts; I think it is one of the most personal objects you can give, one that offers nothing more than to give you daily joy and inspiration!

This piece is by Australian artist Leene Aavik.

Wedding Mood

Here is the working mood board for our wedding. I'm a big believer in mood boards as it helps identify themes, colour palettes and details at a glance, plus elements that are clashing.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Head in Clouds

Welcome back! Or perhaps I should be saying that to myself! After a two week hiatus where my head had a holiday in the clouds, I am back in the blogging hot seat. As many of you already know Timothy O ask me to marry him some two weeks ago, which I eagerly accepted. So you may find a few more 'wedding related' posts kicking around on my blog soon. Boy o Boy! Lots to share!
